In my Garden

First of all, why am I sketching? 

I first got interested in this type of art when I was doing my travels. I wanted to do it but I didn’t know where to start. 

I saw this blog from Liz Steel and got more interested in this style.

Then pandemic came and travelling is put to a standstill. But I was lucky enough to see this course in U3A (yes, yes I am a senior 😂 U3A is a University of the Third Age for people who are retired or semi- retired) This class is headed by Kathleen Newman. So now I am doing this and hopefully by the next time that the borders are open I can record my travels in a sketching journal aside from capturing it in photos.

Here is my first try on sketching things I found in my garden. Not well organised but it will do for now….I will keep on trying until I find my own style.
